Syrian Fabrics. 
This image is of a fresh break from a North Syrian mortaria, manufactured at Ras el Bassit, where I was working from 2004 - 2010. I a currently writing up the full pottery and CBM report, but I have taken macro shots of all the fabrics I identified during the project, and they are can be seen at my Flickr account
